Friday Favorites! v.8

I love quiet weekends and I'm really happy its Friday, I started the day with a good cup of coffee and sending my resume to offices that need a receptionist. Fingers crossed I get an interview, because Lord knows I'm needing a job ASAP. On the agenda for the rest of the week is lots of homebody time and spending an afternoon with Tim's parents, playing board games. But first, here are some of my favorites this week!

This sticker speaks so much truth!
I am in love with Midge Belickis' Etsy shop, definitely worth checking out.

photo tips on shooting indoors on her blog this week!

an adorable vintage Halloween banner printable, and it's FREE!

There's a wonderful From Our Readers article on HelloGiggles
about writer's block and how to cure it!

I am in love with these new Bamboo flats at Modcloth!

In this Buzzfeed video, women are speaking out about online harassment towards women
and sharing some of the outrageous comments they have received from men!
(NSFW, vulgar language)

Okay, this book from Modcloth is too cute
and such a great gift idea for a friend you really love!

Cam posted a wonderful DIY pumpkin body scrub on her blog
and I can't wait to make some of my own!

And last, I have another cute find made by Midge, a Black Lodge Twin Peaks brooch set!
Seriously, what a talented lady and her blog is just as wonderful!

8 Must-Try Recipes For Fall

With Labor Days passing and the weather changing a bit, I'm only anticipating Fall more! I started to pin all of the greatest Halloween decor ideas and look for fashion inspiration for the chilly months and today I began searching for some new recipes to try and I have 8 that I found quite share-worthy and are all vegan friendly!

1. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins look delicious and perfect for any autumn gathering or a morning snack! I plan on getting the ingredients to whip these up next trip to the grocery store. Thank you, Minimalist Baker. Get the details!

2. Roasted Fall Vegetables With Lentils

I love fall vegetables and roots so much, so this recipe really caught my eye! With such simple ingredients that are filled with nutrients, this meal sure to be a go-to. I found this meal on Whole Living. Get the recipe!

3. Sweet Potato Vichyssoise

Sweet potatoes aren't for everyone, I know that.. But I cannot get enough of them in the colder months! Lucky for me, making this soup means I get the whole batch to myself for meals over the week since the hubby doesn't share my love for the veggie. DesignLoveFest shared this savory dish. Get the Recipe!

4. Mulled Cider

My last birthday was when I first tried this amazing alcoholic beverage, I had no idea of it's existence up until! I never thought I would ever try warm wine, but it definitely isn't like that at all. I look forward to trying and even playing with ingredients to make my own spin! Martha Stewart's website originally posted the recipe. Get it here!

5. Fully-Loaded Vegetable Pot Pie

I've always been a big pot pie fan, but I've never attempted making one from scratch before. After finding this recipe, I know I will this year! I'm especially excited because if it turns out great, I could make another for the holiday with family for my mom to have because it's GLUTEN FREE. I scored this recipe from Tree Hugger. Get it here!

6. Fall Harvest Brussels Sprouts

these little veggies are jam-packed with vitamins and nutrients, and aren't that bad once you get used to them. This salad looks so fresh and light, I can't wait to try it! I have a lot of recipes for brussels sprouts and love to use then in sides for dinner. Peanut Butter and Peppers was kind enough to share this delightful dish. Get the recipe!

7. Vegetarian Pumpkin Curry

This is a great looking dish, especially to a family who loves eating ethnic food! The recipe can easily be made suitable for vegans as well. I found this recipe at Julia's Album. Get it here!

8. Stuffed Acorn Squash With Quinoa and Herbs

Again with the squash, but fall is just the time for it. I love stuffed dishes and this one sounds delicious and pretty easy! sometimes roasting can take a while, but only 30 minutes is called for in this recipe. I'm so glad I found A Couple Cooks for this dinner idea. Get the recipe!

If you have recipes you love for the coming season, please share! Lovely comments are always welcome :)

Friday Faves! v.6 (on a Saturday)

Happy Saturday! Yesterday was jam packed and I just couldn't squeeze the time in to post. We took a day trip up to Sedona for a picnic, hiking, some swimming and dinner with my side of the family. More about that later, though ;) Here's the favorites of the week from yours truly!

This embroidery hoop is just so perfect! Would make a great addition in our home,
so it's on my wishlist! I really want to pick up this cute hobby to make and frame quotes and such.

What an incredible woman, raising awareness and standing up for herself.
This video about Emma Sulkowicz's project, Carry That Weight is moving.

This string of owl lights are a hoot! I'm swooning over the thought of them on our porch.

Kaylah (The Dainty Squid)
shared a dreamy bedroom tour this week and I am in love!
There's so many details to see, she's quite the collector and one of my favorite bloggers!

I stumbled across this beauty of a drink dispenser and had to share, such a darling party addition!

Joanna (Cup of Jo) posted a very handy guide to essential oils and
I bookmarked it for future reference. It's a very useful read and would recommend it to everyone!

Friday Faves! v.5 (on a Saturday)

Hey Everyone, I'm so sorry about the delay of Friday Faves. I had so much to do yesterday and just couldn't get it all completed in time. Last night I went to a fun BBQ hosted by my best friends, the weather was beautiful and everyone brought their pups! And I know I give a wedding countdown update almost every post, but 8 days, folks (HOLY MOLY!). Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy some links I'm loving this week :)

First on today's picks, this darling Rocky Horror Picture Show
print of Brad and Janet by the very talented Rosa De Los Reyes
She creates tons of great buttons, prints and other goodies. Check her out!

These shoes! I'm swooning over how adorable they are, definitely on my wishlist!

This video clip of JGL on The Ellen Show is gold, as if we didn't already love him enough!

Being a wine lover myself, this cute and useful list of wines and fonts that
compliment them is just perfect! P.s. they provide the link to download all the fonts too :)

Danielle over at Sometimes Sweet had a wonderful review on an
album I have greatly anticipated! She hit the nail right on head with this one.

What would this Friday Faves be without something Robin Williams related?
Jimmy Fallon did a great tribute to him on the Tonight Show and the end had me tear up a little.

I have been listening to this soundtrack on repeat
ever since I saw the movie! I can't wait until the vinyl version is released.
Here's a playlist of the soundtrack that will have you dancin' around your living room.

I loved this post at Oh Dear Drea. It's so useful,
especially since I'm trying to keep more house plants in our home.

I hope you enjoyed my round-up of favorites and you're all having a great weekend!

Until next time,

My weekend is starting off just wonderful, Tim and I picked up our marriage license and he has a three-day weekend away from work which means more quality time and tying up loose ends for our big day! We are nearly two weeks away and I am experiencing all the butterflies (EEEP!). Now, It has been a few weeks since my last edition of "Friday Faves!", but I'm here today to share some inspiring and adorable links that won't disappoint!

Currently the background on my phone, Leslie Knope is perfect and this print
illustrated by Jenny is darling!

J.K. Rowling continues to be such an amazing role-model,
sending a heartbroken fan a care package in the mourning of her horrible loss.

Kelsey posted some beautiful photos of her and her hubby returning to the spot they said, "I do".
You can check them all out on her blog, The Goodrich Wife.

If you haven't watched Twin Peaks before, I highly recommend doing so!
I'm hooked and the very talented, Bunny Miele creates the best prints (and more!)
of all your favorite characters.

I'm in love with this giant, vegan leather tote at Urban Outfitters right now.
It's the perfect bag to lug around work/project gear!

This short documentary is a must watch! I couldn't agree more with these ladies
and the awareness they are trying to raise.Women are not here for the pleasure of men.

For tonight's Friday Faves I have some really wonderful links of the week! Work has been so crazy I haven't had the time to put into the blog as much as I'd like, but after my surgery I will be freed up to do more :) I hope everyone's fourths were amazing and filled with yummy food and fireworks!

This Terrarium throw pillow from ModCloth is adorable. Since we are moving soon I'm looking at new decorating ideas and I love this!

Friday Faves! v.2

T.G.I.F. I hope everyone is having a super start to the weekend! This week has certainly been more laid back, which is really nice! Tonight I'm going out on the town for a dear friends birthday and I'm taking my camera with me. It should be nothing short of a blast and I'm so excited to take part in the celebration! This week for Friday Faves I have some links and releases I'm just so excited about. So without further ado here they are below and have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Scathingly Brilliant's Kate Gabrielle announcing her newest Etsy shop, Yourfanclub I had to share this amazing Ron Swanson Fan Club pin! She also has so many other notable wonderful pins such as Dwight Shrute Fan Club pins, as well as Fox Mulder Fan Club pins! I'm just oogling over all of them!

I don't mean to be loving on the period ad campaigns so much, but Always came out with such an uplifting new ad that explores what it means to do something "like a girl". It's super inspiring and pro-woman, I love it!

Daniel Radcliffe talks about "the friend zone" on an interview about his upcoming movie, What If and his answer was brilliant!

Cam and Joe tied the knot and returned from their honeymoon with an adorable post documenting their trip on Cam's blog! (Less than two months to go for Tim and I, EEEP!)

My blogging friend, Abigail at Mama Kelley also wrote a very note-worthy post about her "perfect" life featuring a raw look at married life with a baby and how not-so-perfect it really can be. I loved the emotion and it actually made me feel a lot better about our worst moments at home, here too.

One of my most loved bands, The Gaslight Anthem released a track of their upcoming album, Get Hurt! I just can't stop listening. This band can do no wrong!

I love these his & hers wedding vow notebooks so so much!

I found these monogrammed succulent planters to be very inspiring! I may just have to make one myself for a DIY project.
